INTRO TO WATERCOLORS

Have you ever wanted to watercolor and just don't know where to start? Have you ever heard watercolor is extremely difficult and unforgiving? Does the thought of putting a paintbrush in your hand get you excited, or make you nervous? If so, you won't want to miss this beginning watercolor class for those students with little or no experience.
We will work several projects while teaching basic watercolor painting principles. It's a great class that will help you see that YOU can do watercolors!!! (Age 16 yrs- Adults)
This is a six week workshop. You will need to bring your own supplies, but if you would like to use my supplies for the first week, I would be happy to show you what you need so you are sure to get the correct materials!
9x12” Arches Watercolor Paper (140lb. Cold Press) or Large sheet of Arches paper that can be cut down to size as needed.
* Gatorboard-(hard surface board for mounting and stretching watercolor paper.) I do have some available if you would like to buy one from me, please let me know ahead of time.
A variety of flat, round, angle brushes including #4 Round Brush and a ½” Flat Wash Brush
Palette with plenty of rooming for mixing colors (large folding or flat)
I use Daniel Smith brand paints bought in tubes and put in the palette but there are a variety of watercolors.
(these are suggestions- similar colors are fine)
Yellow Ochre or Raw Sienna
Lemon Yellow Hue
